Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on its Wednesday 23 December session has accepted the upper limit of rates for one passage by a motor road of common use built under the terms of concession.
According to the text of the regulation, for motorcycles with and without a sidecar, as well as for cars, passenger cars with trailers, minibuses with up to 10 passengers, and trucks with a maximum weight of up to 3.5 tons, the rate of €0.023 is set for each kilometer of the distance.
For trucks with a maximum weight of 3.5 to 12 tons, road trains with a maximum weight of up to 12 tons, buses with the number of passengers from 10 to 29 people and the maximum weight of up to 12 tons, the rate is €0.045 per kilometer.
For trucks and road trains with the maximum weight of more than 12 tons, buses with more than 29 passengers and the maximum weight of more than 12 tons – €0.133 per kilometer.
In October, Ministry of Infrastructure named the first six roads with the total length of 1.5 thousand kilometers, which were selected for the implementation of pilot projects of the public-private partnership program in the road sector. This list includes: a section of the M-03 road from Boryspil to Poltava, a part of the M-06 Kiev-Zhitomir-Rivne road, the route from Dnipro city to Krivyi Rih and Mykolaiv (M-04, N-11), the Yagodin-Kovel-Lutsk route (M-07, M-19), the route Kharkiv-Dnipro-Zaporizzhia (M-29, M-04, M-18) and part of the M-14 road from Kherson to Mykolaiv.
In 2019, Ukravtodor predicted that the first toll roads in Ukraine could appear in three to four years.
